Its a numbers gameThe problem with any finance presentation is the reliance on large amounts of data that need to be presented and summarised. The tendancy is to create volumes of charts that all look exactly the same with poor contrast. If its appropriate, create handouts of your charts, they will be easier to interpret and allow the audience to better digest the data provided. Stick to familiar charts. Know your audience, if they are non technical, stick to summay charts like bars, pie and line, dont assume people understand complex charts. Keep is sharp and simple, the key point is the analysis of data, not the data, so focus on your interpretation and conclusion.
